BVSE Branchenforum 2016
The division for scrap, WEEE and ELV-Recycling invites you to the bvse “Branchenforum 2016” taking place in Wolfsburg this year.
The event will be opened on 09.11.2016 with the “15. Elektro(nik)-Altgeräte-Tag”. In his keynote speech, Mr. Reiner Holznagel, President of the Federation of Taxpayers, will discuss whether it is actually sensible that municipalities are increasingly active in the market economy as a result of the re-communalisation.
The subject of Dr. Sven Grieger's contribution from Fraunhofer IWKS is how the material composition of the old equipment changes and the new technical challenges associated with it.
The current debate on the LAGA-Merkblatt M 31 marks the afternoon of the meeting. The chairman of the responsible LAGA committee, Dr. Meyer-Ziegenfuß, will report on the current state of play. The next step is to deal with important key points, which should be regulated in waste disposal contracts.
A panel discussion will be held at the end of the day. Well-known representatives of the business associations, the LAGA and the EAR Foundation will be discussing the importance of considering the quality concept throughout the whole chain of the WEEE-recycling cycle.
This year, the “city of cars” Wolfsburg will provide the backdrop for the traditional bvse welcome evening. As part of a 60-minute guided tour of the park, you will learn about the most important buildings, attractions and productions of the famous “city of cars”. A sightseeing tour along the "Mittellandkanal" along the Volkswagen factory round off the visit. With joint dinner in the “city of cars”, we end this year's adventure tour.
Industry-relevant topics of the scrap industry will be dealt with in the framework of the 11th bvse scrap forum on 10.11.2016.
RA Stephan Jäger of Jäger RAe, Würzburg, poses the provocative question as to whether or not the legal framework is already subject to particular interests. In addition, the impact of the new circular economy on the scrap industry promoted by the EU will be examined by well-known speakers.
Dr. Dieter Schmid from Volkswagen AG explains the product life cycle from the perspective of manufacturers and Dr. Moritz Bonn from the Center for European Policy deals with the regulatory consequences of the planned conversion of our economy.
Within the framework of the new conference module "Workshop scrap on the circular economy 2030", Senior Analyst Olga Yakymchuk from the MetalExpert Group will talk about the changes in the global scrap trading; George Bond, Director of Business Development, SiCON GmbH, will inform you about the possibilities of sustainable scrap processing.
Together with you we look forward to an interesting event.
