Emmanuel KatrakisSecretary General
Emmanuel KATRAKIS joined EuRIC in September 2014, at the time the European Recycling Industries’ Confederation was created. Since then, Emmanuel is working on the smooth development of the Confederation. Prior to joining, he worked in an international law firm and two industry associations where he gained an in-depth experience in association management. Owing to his presence in Brussels for over seven years, he has developed a strong knowledge of European affairs and advocacy as well as a proven track-record in defending various industrial sectors. Emmanuel is graduated in European law from the College of Europe in Bruges.
Peter ČechJunior Policy Adviser
Peter ČECH joined EuRIC in September 2015. He has a strong academic background in European law and economics and has gained a practical experience in law and EU affairs owing to his working experiences at Europe Direct – EU’s Direct central information service – and in a law firm. Peter speaks fluently English, German, Slovak and Czech.
Mélissa ZillJunior Scientific Officer
Mélissa ZILL is an engineer by training with a specialisation in toxicology, ecotoxicology, chemical risk assessment and risk management. She completed her master degree by a traineeship in ECHA, the European Chemicals Agency. Mélissa's main responsibilities include the Waste Treatment BREF document, issues linked to the interplay between waste and chemicals legislation and WEEE.
